[Image Description: The image has a light gray background with my First Former Buddy Club President logo in the bottom left corner. "Saying, 'You don't look disabled' is stereotyping and prejudice" is in left-aligned violet text. There is a restroom gender neutral person symbol to represent invisible disabilities below the text. ]     Sometimes all because a person is in a certain role, position, or has a certain background or narrative, it is as if somehow that makes them not allowed to be in the disability community, a trauma survivor, or introverted or that they cannot possibly be part of any of these diverse groups because of that. Like because they are a college student/graduate, teacher, work a certain job, are successful, or have a certain background or narrative, society views that as making it impossible for them to be in the disability community, a trauma survivor, or introverted.                          [Image Description:  The image has an orange background with my First Former Buddy Club President logo in the bottom left corner. "Fair ≠ Equal Explained" is in center-aligned alternating dark orange text to black text. ]      Fair does not always mean equal. Fair means equity, which is making sure that everyone has what they need to be successful while recognizing that everyone has different needs, challenges, and abilities. Everyone cannot be given all of the same exact things. Everyone needs to be given some different things based on their unique needs. Giving every person all of the same exact things would mean that no one's needs were being met because every person has different needs.     For example, some students in the disability community might need someone to read to them if they are still in the early reader stage due to their severe to profound difficulty ...

My First Former Buddy Club President logo is in the bottom left corner. ] According to some research that I did, orchids symbolize solitude. So, I made the cover photo of this blog as a single orchid as a way to symbolize the power and beauty of being alone. Read further to find out how I have learned to embrace the power and beauty of being alone after prolonged loneliness.      Recently, I have been reflecting about my own healing journey. I have been through several different ups and downs throughout my whole life including trauma and nontraumatic acutely stressful events; however, while healing is forever because no one ever fully heals from experiences like these, I have come so far along my healing journey, and I take pride in that. I was lonely during my down time in the beg...
